This is a nagoya obi from mid-Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). It has a charming 'karako'(karako is child figure in China) motif both on wide and narrow part. These karako motifs are dyed with vivid colors and looks very appealing. Textile is chirimen(fine crepe) silk and has soft touch.
It has noticeable discoloration above and below the motif onthe wide part. It also has a few small patina on both wide and narrow parts, but as a whole, it is in very good condition.
*Nagoya obi needs some accessories to complete the square bow in a traditional style.
