This is a kimono silk fabric cut into houmongi shape and stitched roughly before sewing to make houmongi. Kimono is made of a bolt of cloth which is 14.2" in width.
This houmongi has tasteful dyed pattern. Some parts are added embroidery.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some patinas and seams are coming loose, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
It must be an excellent material for your handicraft!
*You need a lining fabric to sew houmongi from this fabric. And sewing houmongi is very difficult, and it is a work for professionals.
