This is a rare stage costume of kabuki, which were played in the rural district.
In the flannel cotton, and octagon　and ume blossom pattern is embroidered with kinkoma technique.
This piece had to be the worn by the role of cool men like master thief!
It is from Meiji period(1868-1912) or late Edo Period( 1603-1867).
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
