This is a kimono silk fabric cut into houmongi shape and stitched roughly before sewing to make houmongi. Kimono is made of a bolt of cloth which is 14.2" in width.
This houmongi has exotic Tsujigahana style pattern, which is dyed. Shibori technique is partly used, and its texture and design are very unique.
Textile is exqusite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has very slight small patinas, which are hardly noticed. As a whole it is almost in excellent condition.
