This is a vintage men's formal haori.
It has very unique woven pattern lining. Two mens are looking for something in the river and a samurai is asking something them. It must be a famous scene from old tale, but we are sorry we don't know.
Outside fabric is black silk ( more thick than habutae silk ), and kamon is sticked.
Outside has some stains and a few small holes. ( Stitches of kamon is coming loose - C in figure).
Unforutnately lining has many frays and tears.Tears are mainly in the upper part, sleeve and bottom part of lining fabric.
We can not say it is in very good condition, but it is still very charming piece for its fantastic design.
